Have you ever wanted to be one of those people who find all of the cool stuff before anyone else has even heard of it? Well our Puyallup apartments are giving you that opportunity right now! Yoga has a certain je ne sais quoi that people cannot get enough of. It soothes your nerves AND gives you a good workout? Count us in! To those who have done yoga before, lets step it up a level; and to those who have not, dont worry about itjust dive in head first! Were talking about aerial yoga: yoga that defies gravity! Youve probably seen an aerialist before in a circus act, such as Cirque du Soleil. Theyre the ones who perform on the cloth-type ropes several feet off the ground, and hang upside down with just the ropes wound around their anklescrazy, right? Well dont worry; if youre a beginner you will not be doing stunts that put your life in danger. But if that sounds interesting to you, working up to it is a real possibility. The equipment used in aerial yoga is called a yoga swing. These are essentially hammocks, made out of fabric, that are stable enough to hold up to two thousand pounds. It acts as a support as you master the most advanced yoga poses in no time. Gymnasts work tirelessly, stretching every day to maintain optimum flexibility; however, using a yoga swing makes it feel less like work and more like play. Aerial yoga uses every part of your body, building endurance and strength more quickly than regular yoga. You will be flipping and flying through the air as you get the best workout of your life. Aerial yoga can be done year-round because yoga classes are normally held inside. But sometimes, when the weather is nice enough, classes can be taken outside because yoga swings can be mobile. Imagine being in complete control of your body as you align your breath with the natural, swift motion of the wind and become one with everything that surrounds you. There are several aerial yoga classes being offered near Puyallup and there are even more choices if you travel a little further to Seattle. Athena Vertical Dance is only a fifteen minute drive from Canyon Park Apartments. This exercise can be done by anyone, whether youre five or ninety-five. As long as you are comfortable being upside down, we encourage you to be a part of this growing trend!

Just a year after securing their first Super Bowl victory in the 2013 season, they returned the next year only to lose to the New England Patriots on what looked like a shoe-in play for the Seattle Seahawks on the one-yard line. But after all the criticism, national and local media has been watching the losers of that gamewaiting to see what theyll do after that heartbreaking loss. And nows as good a time as any to watch along. In our first post, we gave a brief overview of this team. In this post, well be focusing on what to look out for this season, and the resources you can use to follow along and understand every second. Local Resources If you still need to get up to speed on the rules of football, you can read the NFLs guide to the rules and players here . And theres a recent episode of WNYCs Radiolab that dedicated to everything football thats sure to get you tuned into the sport. Wed also recommend following local beat reporters like Bob Condotta for the Seattle Times or Danny Kelly over at SB Nations Field Gulls for game-by-game insight. Now that you have those resources, what do you want to look for this season? Understanding the Context Though we picked up some promising trades and drafts this yearfrom a lightning fast receiver named Tyler Lockett and a former basketball player tight end named Jimmy Grahamwe also have one of our better defensive players holding out in an attempt to get a better contract. Without some of the intimidating tone-setters like Kam Chancellor earlier on, we struggled as an offense and defense thats still getting to know each other again in two road gamesboth of which resulted in a loss. Though early statistics tilt against us making the playoffs with that start, home games make all the difference. And as our opponents get a little easier, players are bound to step up and find their place. Chris Matthews used to work at a shoe store before he was one of the most pivotal receivers in our last Super Bowl appearance. Communication will get better at home. And the games to see if were really up to par for another championship season? Thatll come down to games against the Arizona Cardinals, the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

Apple treesin the spring we love to see them blossom, in the summer their green leafy shade provides respite from the summer sun, the little green apples hold a promise, and in the fall the promise is fulfilled with sweet, crisp apples ready to be picked. You can pick some up at a pick-your-own farm , and stop at the farmers market to get a couple of gallons of apple cider as well. But its easy to get a little carried away, so the counters in your kitchen end up overloaded with two gallons of cider and three different varieties of apples! So today, we want to share some great ways to use all those apples. Applesauce because it goes great with pork chops, or on pancakes, or for dessert, sprinkled with a little bit of cinnamon of course. Apple Dumplings Delicious and easy to make. Enjoy! Apple Cobbler Just like grandma used to make. For the longer term, you can dry apples and or make and preserve homemade apple pie filling. Drying Apples Apple Pie Filling Ah, a slice of warm apple pie with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Sounds heavenly. And what are apples without caramel? Heres a super easy caramel recipe to try. And, to drizzle it over apple pie or to make caramel apples, leave out the last two minutes of cooking and dip the apples (slide a popsicle stick into the bottom of an apple for easy dipping) into the caramel. Then roll them in finely chopped pecans and place them on waxed paper to cool. Jaimies Carmels Ingredients: 1 cup butter 1 cup light corn syrup 1 (14 oz) can sweetened condensed milk 2 1/4 cup brown sugar 2 tsp vanilla 3/4 cup chopped pecans (optional) Butter baking dish (I used a 9x13 glass baking pan). Directions: Put all ingredients, except vanilla, in large microwave safe bowl: 1 - Heat on high five minutes; stir 2- Heat on high five minutes; stir 3- Heat on high five minutes; stir 4- Heat on high TWO minutes; stir Remove from heat and stir in vanilla (and finely chopped pecans if you want them). Pour into buttered pan; let cool two hours. Cut into pieces and wrap in waxed paper. And with all of that apple cider, it becomes a moral imperative to throw an apple-themed party! Wassaila.k.a. hot spiced cider will be the perfect beverage to serve at the party. You can use the clubhouse to throw your own partyapples are optional. Shoe Storage Solutions in Puyallup-image

Do you have a lot of shoes? These days, you dont need to be a fashionista to have more shoes than space to store them. All it takes is a few pair of dress shoes, cross trainers, snow boots, a pair of sandals and maybe some hiking boots to overfill many peoples closets. No matter how large the closets are in your JBLM housing, you can always benefit from increased organization of your shoe collection. Ill list a few of my favorite ideas below. Most peoples first thought when looking to organize their shoe collection is to go for one of those plastic mats that attaches to the top of a door. You can put a classy twist on this utilitarian design by choosing one made from cloth instead of plastic. While those certainly get the job done, there are many other ways you can store your shoes that offer a little more style and personality. You can store shoes under the bed; there are many different iterations of this idea. You can buy linen shoe drawers designed to slide under the bed. Small wicker baskets or old wine crates are another popular choice. Youll see even more creative under-the-bed storage ideas on sites like Pinterest.com where people use things like an old picture frame to make a shoe tray. A large basket in the corner works well for a childs room. You can add a color coordinated fabric lining or some sort of embellishment around the rim if you like. Sandals can be hung from modified wire hangers and you can use a pair of tension rods to create a mini shelf for lighter shoes in the bottom of a closet. One of my favorite shoe storage solutions is also among the cheapest. Cut large diameter PVC pipe into 8-10lengths. Working from the bottom up, attach them to one another with epoxy or industrial strength glue. You will need to be patient as each layer needs to completely dry before you can move on to the next. The best part about this option is that it is completely customizable! You can paint it, wrap it in colorful fabric, or use decoupage techniques to cover it with pictures and bright paper. You can also use a variety of materials to make this organizer. Anything from industrial cardboard tubes to recycled paint cans can be stacked and shaped into a shabby-chic shoe organizer. Furthermore, it can be made as large as you need it and extra slots can be added at any time. So, now that youve got a variety of options the only thing left to do is choose one. This all depends on a number a variables including the amount of available space in your Puyallup apartment, the color scheme of the room in question and, of course, your personal decorative style. Either way, between all these options Im sure youll find a solution that works for you. Now youve got an excuse to go buy more shoes!
