As the month of May starts to come to an end, it’s time to start preparing for all the fun that summer will bring. This week on Canyon Park Apartments Blog, we’re here to fill you in on some of the most anticipated films coming out this summer! Make sure to see these titles at a theater near your Puyallup, WA apartment:
Yesterday
Imagine a world where everyone in it has lost all memory of The Beatles— well, everyone but one person. In Yesterday, follow the story of the only man on earth who remembers the music of one of the most famous bands on earth as he rises to fame using music he didn’t write in the first place. Bound to be one of the biggest hits of the summer, this film is an interesting take on what the world would look like if The Beatles had never changed the music scene forever, and how it would still have a monumental effect, even if it was released for the first time in 2019. Yesterday is in theaters everywhere June 28th!
Spider-Man: Far From Home
Finally, the sequel to Homecoming we’ve all been waiting for! Spider-Man: Far From Home marks the second film in Marvel’s newest Spider-Man series, starring fan favorite Tom Holland as Peter Parker. This time, the story follows Peter and his friends as they take a vacation to Europe, and of course, they meet some unexpected conflict. This time, a new villain Mysterio enters the scene, and he proves to be just as unpredictable as his name suggests. See it as early as July 5th, and be prepared for an exciting new adventure.
Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark
Do you remember the popular children’s horror book series called Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark by Alvin Schwartz? This August, Guillermo del Toro is releasing a feature-length film based around the hair-raising stories told throughout the series. When a group of small-town teenagers discovers an old book filled with scary stories transcribed by a young girl from the past with horrifying secrets to tell. To their surprise, the stories start to come to life around them. Don’t miss this spooky film, out on August 9th.
Where’d You Go, Bernadette
Even though Bernadette, mother of a young girl called Bee, seems to have it all, she doesn’t seem satisfied with anything in her life. After she suddenly disappears, Bee and her father embark on an adventure in hopes of cracking the case of their missing wife and mother. Based on the book by Maria Semple with the same name, Where’d You Go, Bernadette is sure to capture the hearts of families everywhere. In theaters August 9th, this is a film you won’t want to miss.
