Do you have a destination you’ve always wanted to go to? Summer is the perfect time to get away and experience something different! In this week’s Canyon Park Apartments Blog, we’re going share things you can do to get out of your Puyallup, WA apartment and get traveling!
Road Trips
If you’re going somewhere close, or if you’re just more comfortable driving, a road trip is a great way to get out and travel! Hours in the car with the music on, driving through scenic vistas and spending quality time with your friends or loved ones are all a part of the road trip experience. Make sure your vehicle is ready for the trip you’re going to take by taking it to a mechanic to get it checked out, refill its fluids, and make sure the tires have enough tread!
Travel Internationally
Have you ever been out of the United States? If you haven’t, what are you waiting for? There are so many wonderful sights to see and cultures to experience! One of the wonderful things about traveling internationally is being able to see how other people live their lives, whether it’s vastly different from what you’re used to, or similar to yours. Expand your horizons as you embrace the culture of others, learn their way of life, and partake of their foods! Get your passports ready and plan that trip! Since international travel is generally expensive, look for tickets early, and you might be able to find some discounted fares! Plan well, because the last thing you want to happen is to be stranded or have nothing to do when you get there.
Staycations!
This doesn’t involve a lot of travel, but it gives you a unique opportunity to explore the areas around you! Dictionary.com defines staycation as: “a vacation spent in one's home country rather than abroad, or one spent at home and involving day trips to local attractions.” In this case, you can try finding a nice Bed & Breakfast in Puyallup and spend the weekend doing things in your local area! Try being a tourist in your own city, it’s more fun than you think!
