Throw a Halloween Party

Since October is known for Halloween, what better way to celebrate the season is there than throwing a Halloween party? It’s a great reason to invite your friends over and have a spooky time! The age for trick-or-treating may be over, but that doesn’t mean the Halloween festivities need to end with them. In this week’s Canyon Park Apartments Blog, we’ve got a few tips on helping you throw a great Halloween Party.

Plan and Communicate

Making sure everything is planned can put your mind at ease when it comes to throwing a party. Plan out the details of the activities you’re going to be doing, music you’re going to be playing, and the food you’re going to be serving out. Once you’ve figured those details out, communicate them with your guests. Let your guests know the time, place, and any additional details (like if they need to wear a costume).

Serve More than Candy

Though Halloween is closely related with candy, we suggesting putting out other types of snack foods. Try some Halloween-themed snacks to add to the mood of the season, like creepy dead man’s fingers, slime aid, or spider cupcakes. Don’t forget to put out candy in strategic places so your guests can snack on them during the night.

Wear Costumes!

Some of your friends may consider themselves too old for costumes, but encourage them to come to your party in spooky costumes. Getting into costume can make the party more immersive, and depending on how good the costumes are, it can be entertainment all on its own. At the end of the night, you can even award the best costume with a prize!
