Packing For Holiday Travel
During the holidays, adding travel to your list of things you need to do can be a little stressful! You’ve got decorating and shopping and celebrating and cooking, packing is just one extra chore you’ve got to get done. At Canyon Park Apartments, we are all about those little time-saving tips to help your trip go even smoother. Our favorite tip for holiday travel is packing light. If you can, packing everything in a carry-on means you don’t have to check a bag, which translates to standing in fewer lines in a busy airport. We found some great tips from Primer on how to pack in a carry-on. Primer mentions that the biggest mistake made by infrequent travelers is a lack of planning beforehand. This infographic has some additional tips that can be helpful for traveling no matter what time of year you’re headed out of Puyallup.
Being able to plan beforehand gives you extra time and energy to put into your actual trip and time with loved ones. As you travel more and more you will learn what works for you and what is necessary for a successful trip. In order to stay energized during your trip, eating healthy and easy snacks will provide the nutrition you need. Items like granola bars, beef jerky, dried fruit, and roasted nuts make great in-air snacks. Be careful of overly salty foods because being in the air can dehydrate you. Indulging in treats or junk food may seem appealing but you might regret it while sitting on a long flight without something substantial in your stomach.
For those more technologically inclined, we found a great list from Popsugar with tech hacks for your trip. These tips will help you keep your devices charged, and save time and money. While traveling, be responsible and safe. Focusing on your flight is definitely your number one priority. You don’t want to miss your flight and delay your holiday vacation. Good luck and safe travels!
